20 Best Horror Movie Final Girls of the 2020s (So Far)

The key to this Final Girl's brilliance is right there in the film's title. 

In No One Will Save You, Brynn (Kaitlyn Dever) is a pariah living in isolation, having been shunned by the locals for a past violent incident the particulars of which are only revealed later.

And so, when an alien arrives on Earth and invades her home that night, the cavalry isn't coming for her - she has to deal with it all by herself.

And that Brynn does, this almost entirely dialogue-free film showing her to be a natural born survivor, fighting back against the several alien interlopers who enter her home and killing them.

The big climactic rub, though, is that the aliens ultimately help Brynn resolve her trauma in a perverse way, leaving the rest of the town's residents under their control, in turn allowing her to live a normal life free of judgment once more.

That Brynn is such a sympathetic and easy-to-root-for character despite saying barely a word throughout the entire movie is a major achievement for both filmmaker Brian Duffield and actress Kaitlyn Dever.
