9. Five Nights at Freddy's 3
Divisive though it might be with the mainstream, Five Nights at Freddy's is one of the most successful horror franchises of recent years, with the first two adaptations of Scott Cawthon's immensely popular video games grossing well over $500 million combined.
And so a threequel was confirmed to be in development for a 2027 release shortly after the second film blew up the box office, with the third film presumably picking up from the second's closing cliffhanger.
While Five Nights at Freddy's 3 seems unlikely to do much for the uninitiated, there is a small sliver of hope given that Cawthon won't be writing the script for this one.
Instead, Gary Dauberman - who has penned huge studio hits like It and several Conjuring-verse movies - will be tackling the screenplay, which at least suggests it'll be a tad more streamlined and coherent than the interminable scripts for the first two films.
