Birds Of Prey: Every Character In The Movie Ranked Worst To Best
1. Harley Quinn
Was it ever going to be anyone else?
As mentioned in the intro, while this is very much an ensemble superhero movie, Harley Quinn is the backbone of it. She's the main character, the whole story is framed around her narration, and the movie begins and ends with her.
You can see why as well, because every moment Margot Robbie's iconic supervillain isn't on screen feels like a moment wasted. The same charisma and personality that made the character the only surviving thing in the wreckage of Suicide Squad remains intact here, but given extra depth and complexity thanks to Christina Hodson's superb script and Robbie's incredible range.
The actor humanises a literal cartoon character in a way you didn't know you need. There's something universal Robbie taps into, and her breakdown following her split from the Joker feels so human you forget that the person she's grieving is a clown supervillain who routinely spends his evenings fighting a man dressed in a Bat costume.
The outfits are on point, Robbie is on point, and Birds of Prey continues to prove why Harley Quinn is the MVP of DC's cinematic offerings.
