Zoë Kravitz may have already made their comic book debut in X-Men: First Class, but the actor would nail the part of Black Alice for Birds of Prey.

Introduced in 2005 by Gail Simone, Joe Prado and Ed Benes, Lori Zechlin fills the role of the team's supernatural expert. She suffered a tragic upbringing, with her mother having passed away during her teenage years, but just as her life seemed to crumble around her, Lori survived. She soon began to develop magical powers whereby she could replicate the abilities of other characters, including (in her first appearance) those of Doctor Fate and Zatanna.

Fate would soon come to train Alice in the mystic arts, and while full membership of the Birds of Prey would elude her for some time, Alice's journey is one tailor-made for the cinematic realm. Kravitz too would work wonders with the part, having partaken in the Divergent series of films and - in a particularly lauded role - in Big Little Lies.

The Fantastic Beasts sequel is next on the actor's agenda, and though it might be a special franchise, you'd struggle to find source-material more prestigious than DC's.
