Black Widow Movie: 10 Things It Must Include
8. Meeting Hawkeye
Speaking of defection, if any Widow film were to root itself primarily in prequel territory, then seeing her cross paths with Hawkeye for the first time would make for a fantastic sequence.
While the details surrounding Widow's defection are light, we do know that Clint Barton was responsible for convincing her to join S.H.I.E.L.D. Having been assigned a kill-order on Black Widow, Hawkeye instead chose to bring Nat (then Natalia Romanova) back to the United States, forming a partnership that would span years both on and off the books - militarily speaking, of course.
Any Black Widow film needs to make Nat the primary focus, and while the story of Black Widow and Hawkeye's first encounter could form the basis for a film of its own, it might make more sense for it to take a back seat in a film centred around Widow herself. Not that it's not worth including of course; just that - if it is - it's important to keep the spotlight on Natasha.
A cameo wouldn't go amiss though...
