7. One Liners
One liners are like candy. They all look good on the surface, you don't want to enjoy them in public and they are very tempting. However, most times you bite into them and come back spitting and gagging up some weird fruity flavor. One liners on the screen can usually have a similar faulty effect. But, alas, there are a brave few who have managed to crossover and become jedi masters in the art of both creating and delivering one liners to echo into eternity. Stallone is one of those men. Anyone remember in Expendables 2 when our heroes unloaded on that one guy and Stallone chimed, "rest in pieces?" He's still got it. And just listen to some of those zingers in the trailer for Bullet to the Head! "I just did," "What are we vikings?" Doesn't sound cool? Try doing it in Stallone voice. Guaranteed awesome results or your money back. Bullet to the Head is clearly harkening back to the action films of the 80s and 90s with its appetite for one liners and explosions and it all sounds like yummy junk food to me. Yes, I just used the word yummy...it's been a slow day...
