Bumblebee: 8 Reasons Why It Will Be The Best Transformers Film Ever

5. Dario Marianelli’s Score

Award-winning and highly-acclaimed composer Dario Marianelli is contributing to the franchise for the first time with this film and this is a genuinely great change.

All of Bay's Transformers films were scored by his long-time collaborator Steve Jablonsky, whose work grew increasingly vapid. This is not to say Jablonsky isn't talented but rather that he did not contribute distinctly original work to the franchise, instead often adhering pretty strictly to whatever temp track Michael Bay was utilizing in the early stages of editing.

Marianelli, on the other hand, is a distinctly original and unique composer who specializes in delivering memorable and affecting scores that compliment their films excellently. He's been a long-time collaborator of Joe Wright's, creating the scores for films like Atonement, The Soloist, and Darkest Hour, as well as working with Knight on Kubo and the Two Strings.

He's also already made one of the greatest scores of 2018, with his stellar work on Paddington 2, creating a symphonic accompaniment just as lush and loveable as the film itself. As such, it's a pretty safe bet to say that Bumblebee will have easily the best score of the entire franchise.
