Captain America: Civil War - 10 Big Implications Of Hulk & Thor's Absence

3. Less Destruction

This one's somewhat ironic. The very reason the events in Captain America: Civil War are taking place is because of the destruction caused by the battles the Avengers have fought in past movies. The heaviest hitters in the Avengers are undoubtedly the Hulk and Thor - it is largely down to them that the legislation to regulate superhuman activity exists, as their battles bring buildings down - and yet their absence from the very war about that legislation will make it far less destructive than it would be with them taking part. There's still going to be plenty of power being thrown around in the Civil War movie, but not the kind of punch power to bring down a Chitauri Leviathan, not the kind of brute force to take down the skeleton of a half built tower block, and not the kind of power to level a small town in New Mexico. This war will be messy, but the collateral damage to the surrounding environment will be small-fry in comparison to the past battles involving the Hulk and Thor.
