Emily VanCamps Sharon Carter came dangerously close to stealing the show in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, surprising audiences by transitioning from Caps loveable neighbour to bad-ass S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent quicker than the drop of a hat (and also being Emily VanCamp). Now that shes returning for Captain America: Civil War, perhaps fans will fall for her even more. It looks like Sharon AKA Agent 13 will be on the side of the government again in Civil War, at least to start with. Shes been pictured next to Martin Freemans Everett Ross (leader of the ominous-sounding Joint Counter Terrorist Centre), suggesting that she could have an intriguing role to play. Wasnt Sharon quite friendly with Cap before? How will that work now that hes ditched the government and she hasnt? Any chance of romance between the pair would require one of them to change sides, which may lead Sharon into a moral quandary that audiences could really sink their teeth into. What would you do if the cute guy/gal next door was suddenly an outlaw, and it was your job to hunt him down? Itd certainly be a tough situation, which may allow VanCamp some truly engaging scenes. Add more bad-ass action to that and youve certainly got a potential show-stealing on your hands.
