Captain America: Civil War - 10 Major Reveals From The New Images

6. Why Black Widow Chooses Iron Man

No doubt one of the biggest surprises in Captain America: Civil War is the fact that Black Widow decides to side with Iron Man, especially after what happened in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. However, unless they're planning some sort of double agent reveal, comments from Scarlett Johansson have at least somewhat cleared up why Natasha ends up making the decision to back the Sokovia Accords. Interestingly, it sounds like Widow sees herself as someone who can bring Captain America and Iron Man together, but does that explain why she ends up fighting alongside Tony? "I think when you find her in Civil War, she€™s looking to strategize her position, putting herself in a place where she is able to let the powers that be fight it out or whatever amongst themselves. She€™s always a little bit on the perimeter so she can have a better perspective of what€™s really going on." She sounds almost neutral then, but clearly feels that supporting registration is the right move if her later choice of allegiance is anything to go by. One thing which definitely doesn't seem to have influenced her motivations in Captain America: Civil War is the fact that she was abandoned by Bruce Banner at the end of Avengers: Age Of Ultron. " understands that Banner did what he had to do. Certainly she€™s not going to be the person to chastise someone who€™s not ready to open up. I don€™t think she€™s taking it personally." The way Johansson answered the majority of her questions was a little strange as she didn't seem willing to commit to anything that was put toward her, so I would definitely place money on her being Steve's inside man in this movie!
