9. The "Punisher Truck" Cameo

It seems that the Russos are following in the footsteps of fellow comic book movie director Sam Raimi by including a favourite recurring vehicle in their movies. While Raimi had his beaten up old car, the Russos have the yellow Penske truck. Having appeared at two important points in The Winter Soldier - first taking out two police cars on Nick Fury's tail, and then killing Agent Sitwelll - the rental truck appears on the other side of the good/bad divide to help these nefarious tactical insurgents break into the IFID grounds. Initially the Russos teased that the driver could be Punisher (or at least that's how various sites reported it), but what they really said was that the truck and its driver would effectively be the Forrest Gump of MCU trucks in their movies, appearing at key points. There was even jocular mention of there being a Marvel One Shot focused on the driver who "has a plan plus a very specific skill set." That's unlikely now, with the Daredevil casting, but it's still a fun Easter Egg.
