Casting A Live Action Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood Movie
10. Gluttony - Vincent D'Onofrio
There aren't many things that need to be changed about the characters in Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood. The vast majority of them are well written enough that their characters in the show will translate to the big screen. However, something tells us that a character like Gluttony will need an update for a live action portrayal.
Although Gluttony is one of the more frightening homunuculi, his childlike mannerisms would come across as strange when he's around the other homunculi who're far more deranged. If the show was to get the Hollywood treatment, it would be far more interesting to lean towards the more horror element of his character.
After all, there's very little more disturbing than watching helpless human beings being devoured indiscriminately and only for the purpose of insatiable hunger. While many people point towards Matt Lucas as being the perfect person to play the hungry homunculi, we think that Vincent D'Onofrio would be the perfect answer to our much scarier version of Gluttony.
He's an incredibly intense character actor who was absolutely terrifying as Wilson Fisk in Daredevil. Even though the show is based in a world of alchemy and Philosopher's Stones, D'onofrio would be a far more grounded, yet even more cannibalistic version of Gluttony than we've ever seen.
