Casting A Live Action Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood Movie
8. Greed - Jake Gyllenhaal
Although Jake Gyllenhaal is used to being a lead role in the movies he's in, the role of Greed is just too good to turn down. The character is exactly who you think he is, the living embodiment of Father's thirst to have everything in the world. He's the most charismatic homunculi of them all and even though his time on the show is brief, it's certainly memorable for fans.
While he's done pretty well as a stereotypical protagonist in most movies, Gyllenhaal really shines when he plays characters with a little darkness to them. Just look at his performances in Academy Award nominated flick, Nightcrawler, and even Spiderman: Homecoming to some extent. He seems far more at home playing a villain than a hero and Greed would give him an extremely interesting character to take on.
Greed really does live up to his title, calling his henchmen his possessions and causing as much chaos as possible to figure out how Alphonse was able to be put into the suit of armour. With his crazy attitude and thirst to be the king of the world, we can really see Gyllenhaal having a lot of fun with this role.
