Casting Harry Potter TV Show Reboot

1. Harry Potter - Roman Griffin Davis

Harry Potter Roman Griffin Davis
Warner Bros./FOX

Roman Griffin Davis exploded onto the scene with Taika Waititi's JoJo Rabbit in 2019. His kind, eager performance as the young German boy who joins the Hitler youth walks the very fine line of working comedy into NAZI Germany. His relationship with Elza is the crux of his arc, with Griffin Davies delivering on all fronts.

Harry Potter was the most sought after role when the films began, with Daniel Radcliffe having to shoulder a lot of expectation in his performance. Griffin Davies stole the show in Jojo Rabbit, showing an innocence that can't be taught, while also understanding the timing needed to pull off a central role.

In this fantasy recast, it must be assumed that this will be the first of at least seven films. With that, Griffin Davies' small stature is perfect for the role of eleven year old Harry Potter, who was always described as small and skinny for his age. Butter wouldn't melt in the mouth of this child, even as he has dealt with the grittier elements of the movie. If he is to come up against Voldemort in these films, then from what we've seen already, Roman should be able to hold his own.
