Over the past few months, the cast of Christopher Nolan's new film has gradually started coming together, with a few new faces joining the director's roster of talent, and at least one familiar one as well.

The first name to be revealed was John David Washington, with the BlackKklansman star's casting announced back in March. Shortly after, it was reported that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2's Elizabeth Debicki and apparent soon-to-be Batman Robert Pattinson had joined the film as well.

With the film's production now underway, the cast has been rounded out further. Joining those three are Kenneth Branagh (Dunkirk), Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Kick-Ass), Clémence Poésy (Fleur Delacour in Harry Potter), Hindi film star Dimple Kapadia, and, of course, Michael Caine, who has been in every Nolan film in some capacity since Batman Begins (you've got to listen for him in Dunkirk).

That's a very solid lineup so far, with Washington believed to be leading the ensemble, and it's likely we'll get at least a couple more names over the next few months.

Danny has been with WhatCulture for almost nine years, and is currently Doctor Who Editor and WhoCulture Channel Manager, overseeing all of WhatCulture's Whoniverse coverage. He has been writing and video editing for 10+ years, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers and uploading them to YouTube (they're admittedly a bit rusty by today's standards). If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order or to tell you about the making of 1988's Remembrance of the Daleks, Danny is the person to ask.
