Hans Zimmer's booming scores have become a staple of Christopher Nolan's movies. He's worked on each one since 2005's Batman Begins, picking up Oscar nominations of Inception, Interstellar, and Dunkirk. But he won't be returning for Tenet.

In fairness, Zimmer does have a packed schedule right now - his upcoming films include The Lion King, Wonder Woman 1984, The Spongebob Movie, Top Gun: Maverick, and Dune - but it might also be that Nolan wants something different. That's what he'll get with his chosen composer, Ludwig Göransson, who recently won the Oscar for his great work on Black Panther.

Elsewhere behind-the-camera, the film will once again be shot by Hoyte van Hoytema (Interstellar, Dunkirk), who has become Nolan's go-to cinematographer since Waly Pfister went off to make Transcendence. Jennifer Lame (Hereditary) will edit, while three of Dunkirk's crew will be back: production designer Nathan Crowley, costume designer Jeffrey Kurland, and VFX supervisor Andrew Jackson. Nolan himself will produce alongside Emma Thomas.

Danny has been with WhatCulture for almost nine years, and is currently Doctor Who Editor and WhoCulture Channel Manager, overseeing all of WhatCulture's Whoniverse coverage. He has been writing and video editing for 10+ years, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers and uploading them to YouTube (they're admittedly a bit rusty by today's standards). If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order or to tell you about the making of 1988's Remembrance of the Daleks, Danny is the person to ask.
