This featurette is not only a look at the costuming in The Avengers: Age of Ultron, its also an ad for Under Armour, a certain type of body-hugging stretchy fabric weave that some of the characters have as part of their outfits. Comfy. We're interested, though, because it's Age of Ultron footage cut together with bits of Joss chatting and some concept art. The Black Widow's Tron-ish sting seams are a particularly nifty touch. https://www.youtube.com/watch?t=12&v=8VPtt1qjGWM Alexandra Byrne's work on the first film was great, and it seems particularly strong here too. These costumes draw together a lot of different influences, not to mention pre-existing design choices from other Marvel films, and have to hold back from looking absolutely preposterous while they're doing it. The balancing act is remarkable. There are some costumes in the film that haven't appeared in any of the posters, pictures or footage so far. Probably the most exciting of these is the one that appears right near the end of the film, and which was spoiled by Kevin Feige himself. So nobody can blame me for mentioning it. UK audiences are just a week away from The Age of Ultron, while US viewers will have to wait until May 1st for their dose of Avengering.
