6. The Other Missing Cast Members

In The Comics:

There are lots of characters in the comics who end up involved in the story beyond the Avengers. Silver Surfer, Adam Warlock, Doctor Doom, Galactus and Eon all play major roles, while every cosmic entity in the universe appears at one point to either join the fight or decide not to.

Some other characters who Marvel didn't have the rights to quite in time also appear, including Wolverine and Cyclops, while Namor, Nova, Firelord, Eros (Starfox), Cloak, Firelord and She-Hulk all play roles.

In The Film:

None of those characters will appear (unless Marvel have an ALMIGHTY shock up their sleeves), while there are some characters from the MCU who will appear despite not appearing in the Infinity Gauntlet comic. Most of the Guardians didn't appear - other than Nebula and Drax the Destroyer - either, so they're new additions.

And some of the cast members who will turn up were actually killed in the Infinity Gauntlet opening - so Hawkeye and Wong in particular will dodge a bullet.
