Comic Book vs Film: How Avengers: Infinity War Is Already Different
7. There's No Bureaucracy

In The Comics:
Some of the pacing in the comics is a little... off thanks to the need to fill fix issues for the event. That means that we get a couple of meetings set up for powerful characters to try and work out what to do with Thanos.
First Odin leads the Council Of Godheads to discuss the problem, but they end up being too late as Thanos' angry shockwave destroys the exit from Asgard. So, it's a waste of time, in other words.
And then there's a summit of the universe's cosmic entities who discuss what to do with Thanos AT LENGTH and it all gets terribly dry. They do it again in the event's aftermath, if twice wasn't enough.
In The Film:
Thanks to the decision to have Thanos and the Black Order invade Earth, there's not going to be much chance for anyone to sit around planning. The heroes are caught unawares, which is sort of the point - and even if they weren't, most of them are split up and have to come back together to really mount a serious defence.
