Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson playing his first superhero in Black Adam is a very big deal, but the movie looks set to have larger ramifications for the DC Extended Universe than anyone ever expected. It's already been confirmed that the Justice Society of America will factor into this origin story for the anti-hero, but if they're well-received by fans, then it's said a spinoff for the team could one day happen.

According to The Illuminerdi, there are tentative plans in place for this to happen, and it sounds like it's essentially just an idea pinned up on the wall somewhere at Warner Bros. rather than in any sort of active development. Still, it's an undeniably exciting prospect, though one that feels a tad repetitive after seeing the team in both Smallville and the new Stargirl TV series.

It's been said that the Justice Society of America's roster in Black Adam will consist of characters like Atom Smasher, Cyclone, Hawkman, Hawkgirl, and Dr. Fate, and that's certainly different enough to what's been seen on the small screen. Time will tell if it actually ends up becoming a reality, though.
