DC Extended Universe: 10 Post-Justice League Predictions
5. The Batman Will Feature A Tonne Of Villains
War for the Planet of the Apes helmer Matt Reeves has just started work on Batfleck's solo outing, and from the sound of things, Arkham Asylum will need to free up some space in its cells.
Expect The Batman to be villain-packed, with familiar foes from the Dark Knight's past returning to haunt him, backed up by bad guys making their celluloid debut.
Deathstroke, played by Joe Manganiello, is rumoured to be one of them and his presence in Justice League could offer a subtle clue about the next Bat film's plot.
In the latest Justice League trailer, there is a fleeting reference to trouble at Arkham, and this could be a hint that Deathstroke is busting Lex Luthor out of the asylum.
In doing this, the lethal assassin could be setting the scene for The Batman, which may find the Caped Crusader rounding up dozens of the mental hospital's most famous inmates who also fled when Luthor escaped.
Rumours suggest Josh Gad is on the verge of being announced as the Penguin, and if Jared Leto's Joker also makes the cut, that's three potential villains, but don't be surprised to see even more running amok in Gotham.
