DC Extended Universe: Ranking Every Upcoming Project By Anticipation
2. Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice
Release Date: March 25th, 2016
We're just months away from the massive event that will be Batman V Superman. By now, most of you reading this have long since seen the Comic-Con trailer and, like Suicide Squad, there's not much to talk about that hasn't already been well-covered by both sides of the opinion line.
While Man Of Steel kicked off the DCEU back in 2013, BvS is the film that will truly herald its arrival, paving the way to a wider world in which characters like The Flash, Aquaman and Cyborg exist together. Regardless of whether you loved Man Of Steel or hated it, or love/hate what BvS seems to be going for, there's something inherently exciting about seeing the two characters - as well as Wonder Woman - together for the first time on the big screen.
Though its financial success is an inarguable guarantee, a lot is riding on the success of BvS on a critical level. While Warner Bros. and DC want audiences to respond well to it to ensure the future of the DCEU they've already planned, fans want the film to deliver as a sequel, as a universe-builder and as a love letter to characters we've known in various forms all our lives. Fortunately, we don't have to wait too much longer to see whether it can deliver.
