DC Fandome: 10 Things Fans Demand To See

Shazam! remains a highlight of the DCEU, praised by critics and fans alike, boasting a 90% tomatometer score and a 82% audience approval rating on Rottentomatoes.com. Of course, given its stellar reception, anticipation is high for Shazam!: Fury of the Gods.

Perhaps most intriguing of all the Shazam! 2 tidbits circling the web was the casting of Helen Mirren and Lucy Liu as daughters of the Greek Titan Atlas. Mirren will be playing Hespera, which in Greek Mythology is a nymph that along with her sisters provided light for the sunrise.

Hespera has no analogue in the DC comics canon and will be an entirely new character created for the Shazam! sequel. We have no clue about what Mirren's character will look like and what her superpowers may be, if any. Showing fans Mirren in costume or, better yet, in action would ratchet up anticipation for the sequel even more.

Shazam 2 recently wrapped up filming so the probability that fans will get exactly what they are clamoring for, Mirren kicking butt as a Goddess, are staggeringly high.
