Why Is It Likely? We left Flag out while discussing Task Force X's expendable members previously, and that's because we were saving that conversation for his own entry.

The leadership struggle is the main reason we believe his time is up. He's supposed to be in charge of the Squad, but the first film flitted between him and Deadshot without definitively landing on one or the other. Why was that?

Joel Kinnaman is nowhere near as bankable as Will Smith, and the fact that Suicide Squad spent so much time priming Deadshot to assume command of the team indicates Flag is living on borrowed time.

Warner Bros are reportedly looking into a Deadshot solo movie too; the studio clearly has big plans for the character, and with Flag out of the way, the Suicide Squad will need a leader, an opening that Big Willy can fill. Ahem.
