1. The Battle Of Hoth
Ask enough fans what their favourite Star Wars film is and many of them will answer The Empire Strikes Back. It's understandable – some of the coolest moments in the whole franchise take place in Empire, including the literal coolest moment, too (Hoth joke!).
The Battle of Hoth is fertile territory for a fantastic family-friendly roller-coaster, full of climbs, dips and light thrills. Placed outside in an artificially snowy setting, the ride could focus on ducking and diving in and around various massive AT-ATs. Who doesn't want to know what it feels like to actually fly through an AT-AT's legs?
The coaster could culminate with the cart approaching an AT-AT and flying round and round it in three-hundred and sixty degree loops, descending towards its huge feet. Clever use of sound effects and animatronics would be enough to give ride-goers the sense of having felled one of the mighty metal beasts.
