Doctor Strange: 7 Tony Stark Cameos That Would Rule

Although Stephen Strange is based on New York, the movie will be venturing well outside of those surroundings, and into other dimensions entirely.

Expanding on the Quantum Realm shown in Ant-Man, the movie will see the Sorcerer - with the help of the Ancient One - opening up alternate dimensions, and that's where the possibility of a Stark cameo comes in.

There is an alternate universe where Stark was a woman - Natasha - so it's not completely without precedent that a different version of the character could appear, although if it does happen it'll still likely be Tony. Since Strange could be seeing a few different dimensions, there's a chance one will be more of an alt reality, and a cameo from a familiar face, playing a different type of role, would be fun to see.

The other possibility is that it's Stark himself (the one we know and love) who goes looking into these alt dimensions. After the events of the MCU so far, in particular the Avengers films, he knows there are going to be other worlds out there, and we could find a Tony Stark interacting with the Ancient One, trying to learn more, which in turn sets up a meeting with Stephen Strange.
