Nominations: 1 - Best Supporting Actor (Christopher Plummer)

Though Ridley Scott's dramatic thriller is destined to be remembered more for the extraordinary circumstances regarding its production and release, All the Money in the World is a surprisingly robust if fairly familiar effort for the most part.

It doesn't reinvent the wheel, but the performances - especially Plummer and Michelle Williams - are splendid, the scenario is fraught with tension and the snappy turnaround of Plummer's performance proves just how much of a pro Scott is.

Considering the film was probably doomed to sit on a studio shelf forever more if Kevin Spacey's role was kept in tact, Scott made a potent statement against sexual misconduct in Hollywood while rescuing his production in record time. And the movie's pretty good, too.
