Every DCEU Film Ranked From Worst To Best
7. Justice League (Theatrical Cut)
The original cut of Justice League is not a terrible film when taken on its own terms. Set aside all the hellish production troubles and the knowledge that this isn't the film Zack Snyder intended it to be, and Joss Whedon's Justice League is pretty solid.
It's visually stunning and thrilling, it has a sharp score from Danny Elfman, the cast are as good as ever, the team have a nice dynamic and there are even a few good character moments in there too.
Of course, it's also a safe, inconsistent and unadventurous film that doesn't feel like the endgame it should've been, but given just how troubled the film's production was, maybe playing it safe was the way to go.
As it should go without saying, the Snyder Cut is definitely better but the Whedon Cut does a couple of things better than Snyder's version. The humour is far, far better and so is the dynamic between the team; it's also nice that the group actually debate resurrecting Superman in this version, which they didn't in the Snyder Cut.
It's deeply flawed and there's little reason to ever revisit this given that the Snyder Cut is out, but Whedon's Justice League was never a bad movie, just a disappointing one.
