Every Fast & Furious Movie Ranked Worst To Best
1. Fast Five (2011)
This was the film that birthed the Fast Saga as we know it today, upping the action, scaling back the street racing, and introducing Dwayne Johnson's Luke Hobbs to help shake up the crew's family dynamic.
Fast Five finds Dom, Brian and the Family plotting to steal $100 million from a corrupt businessman, whilst DSS agent Hobbs pursues them with animalistic intensity.
Between the testosterone-heavy face-off between Dom and Hobbs, an expertly crafted rooftop chase and a series of viscerally exhilarating heist sequences, Fast Five is seriously over-the-top, but also gritty and anchored by its higher-than-ever stakes.
Universal's plan to move the franchise away from its street racing roots was a ballsy move that could easily have fallen flat and left the series in the dust, but thanks in equal measure to its brilliantly committed stunt team, the charming chemistry of the core cast and Justin Lin's spotless direction, Fast Five was a massive success, and remains the best instalment of the saga.
