Every Fast & Furious Movie Ranked Worst To Best

2. Furious 7 (2015)

Fast & Furious 6 allowed the saga to become an all-out blockbuster franchise, ready to push the boundaries of what it could do to its characters and its own ever-loosening laws of gravity, physics, and plausible car mechanics.

Furious 7 took what made its predecessor so great and dialled it up to eleven, whilst maintaining that air of charm and not-yet-overcooked focus on family values that made the earlier films so compelling.

Bringing in The Stath's Deckard Shaw as the franchise's most formidable villain, director James Wan cuts loose and allows the over-the-top, uber-macho action to take centre stage.

In Furious 7, fans got to see the scene where Dom and Brian fly through the Dubai skyline, a sequence where the crew fly parachuted cars out of an airplane, and has Dwayne Johnson literally flex a cast off his broken arm.

Outside of the boundlessly entertaining, frequently cheesy action, the film also has real heart, paying effective homage to series mainstay Paul Walker, who tragically passed away before its release, and ending with the franchise's single most touching shot in the process.
