Every Final Destination Movie Ranked Worst To Best
4. Final Destination 2 (2003)
Final Destination 2 is a great, heart-thumping thrill-ride, but is let down in the rankings by one major thing, as it tries to serve as a direct sequel to its predecessor, making the whole thing feel far too disjointed, forced and needlessly complicated.
That's not to say that it's all bad. Far from it, in fact. The film takes the stakes of the first film and decides to go bigger than ever, and whilst this is part of the problem with the sequel, leading to a somewhat contrived plot, it does allow the first premonition to be absolutely wild, a major traffic accident that will make you think twice before driving behind a lorry.
The film also has death by barb wire, elevator and spaghetti, and whilst it sounds too silly written out like that, it's far from over-the-top, with each death falling completely in-line with what came before.
Despite its strong points, Final Destination 2 mostly misses the mark due to its messy plotting and desire to be both similar and bigger than the original, and the result is a decent but far too messy affair.
