Every In-Production Fox Marvel Movie That Could Join The MCU
2. Doctor Doom
Fox didn't just acquire the rights to Marvel's Mutant population back in the day. The company also picked up the film rights to the Fantastic Four and the various characters associated with the superhero family.
Seeing as the previous FF films have been a disappointment to fans (and to the box office), the potential for any FF properties made by Marvel Studios has kept people excited for some time. It was strange to see the Avengers fighting off an alien invasion without the Fantastic Four, but that's how film licensing rights work. (Let's just agree they were trapped in the Negative Zone or something, okay?)
Now that the FF are finally back home, it's time to kick out some movies starring their supporting cast. To that end, a solo film all about Victor Von Doom, a character many consider to be the greatest supervillain to ever grace a comic book, is being helmed by Noah Hawley. Hawley recently revealed that he'd spoken to Feige, but stopped short of confirming if his work will be transplanted to the MCU.
It's almost a foregone conclusion that Doctor Doom will find his way into the MCU from the onset - he's too great a character to ignore. The only thing that remains to be seen now, is if Hawley will be the one to take him there.
