Helga Brandt (Karin Dor), a femme fatale from You Only Live Twice, feels like an inferior version of Fiona Volpe from the previous film.

Although Karin Dor gives a decent performance, her character is, unfortunately, an underwritten villain and her subplot feels largely rushed. Brandt does get a great death scene - Blofeld punishes her for her failure to kill Bond by feeding her to his piranhas - but it's not exactly flattering when the most memorable thing about a character is how they died.
