Every James Cameron Film Ranked Worst To Best

When making a film about the Titanic, re-build the Titanic! Another typical James Cameron philosophy.

While the central love story of Jack and Rose is a tad cheesy, the very feat of this film and what it achieved is astonishing. Never before had a real-life disaster movie been made on such an epic scale and with such attention to detail. Cameron took his own reputation for ambition and knocked it out the park, and though many other filmmakers may have tried to tell this story, none of them would have done it with the same level of grandeur.

At a whopping three hour-plus run time, you're sure to find at least one part of the ride appealing, with it being and intensive mix of action, villainy, romance and, yep, tragedy. In short, Cameron got everything right with this one.

The fact that the sets were re-constructed with meticulous faithfulness to the original ship is amazing enough. Sure Avatar was the bigger movie in every respect, but there is something truly earnest about the spectacle achieved in Titanic.
