Gunnar Eversoll, played by Toby Jones, was the business partner of Eli Mills and the man who ultimately led proceedings as he auctioned off the dinosaurs to the highest bidders.

It goes without saying that this was one of the stupidest ideas of all time on multiple levels, and Gunnar's death was all but an inevitability as soon as he agreed to take part, though the exact circumstances came down to the idiocy of somebody else.

Eversoll actually managed to sneak past the escaped Indoraptor as it was feeding, and made it to the lift that could have sent him to potential safety. There he saw three attendees of the auction, but instead of just pressing the button to send them up, he threw a woman into the middle of the lift and took her place, hiding to the side, out of view should the Raptor have turned around.

When she saw the animal feeding, she screamed. Call this instinctual if you must, but there is no denying it was stupid. This, and this alone, alerted the Indoraptor to their presence in the lift. Though they did manage to get the doors shut in time, bad luck saw the Raptor just so happen to break the mechanism with its tail, leading to the doors opening and the easiest meal it would score all day.
