EVERY Jurassic Park & World Death RANKED By Stupidity
29. Ray Arnold - Jurassic Park
During that fateful trip to Jurassic Park, after Dennis Nedry had shut down the security systems around the island as part of his bid to steal the dinosaur embryos, Ray Arnold was forced to reboot the entire thing. The theory that this would reset everything back to normal was correct, but not until the circuit breakers were reset.
It was then that Arnold headed to the maintenance shed across the compound, where the breakers were located, but before he could get to them, he was mauled and killed by a Velociraptor off-screen. This is just another in the long line of poorly thought-out decisions that made Jurassic Park such a dangerous place.
It may have been a last resort, but it was clearly a possible eventuality that the system would have to be rebooted and the circuit breakers reset. However, having the breakers across the compound was arguably the worst place they could have been put.
By definition of the situation, this would force somebody to leave the control room and head out into the open with the security systems off. Had the breakers been located in the same building as the control room, Arnold may have lived.
