Another serial starring Kirk Alyn, Superman Vs The Atom Man focused again on a dastardly plot by Lex Luthor who is currently holding the city to ransom. The film is quite similar to the original serial, with each episode of the serial ending on a cliff-hanger.

Alyn remains a very passable Superman, however the nature of the show doesn’t allow for that much range or depth to be seen in these serials. They are fun episodes for children; however, it does lack a lot of the depth that the later series/films gave us.

The serial is very faithful to the comics, mainly in terms of the characters and the portrayals but this is one of the Superman stories that is historically significant, but it doesn’t really stand the test of time.
