3. Owen Shaw - Fast & Furious
Owen Shaw is a truly elite villain, one of the greatest antagonists of any blockbuster in the 2010s and a seismic step up in terms of profile in the series' bad guys.
Luke Evans is an exceptional actor and always comes across as a leader in control, effortlessly conveying the sense of sociopathic cruelty that's required for a character in charge of heartless mercenaries. There has never been a villain in the series that has more convincingly fought the family, coming across as borderline unbeatable at points through Fast and Furious 6.
The element that makes Owen as threatening and compelling as he is is the dynamic between himself and the amnesiac Letty. Watching him manipulate and gaslight a character that fans are so attached to is heartbreaking, seeing the pain in Michelle Rodriguez's eyes as she tries to resist the emotions that her memories are evoking is remarkable work and inspires true hatred towards Owen.
It's a testament to the strength of the other two villains that Owen doesn't take the top spot as he's truly sensational. A villain that targeted the family in a way no other villain ever managed to, not even the ones higher than him.
