Every Pixar Movie Ranked Worst To Best
14. A Bug's Life
A Bug's Life is a rare case of a film with a very familiar story - we've seen it in the likes of Seven Samurai, Galaxy Quest and The Three Amigos among others - working because of the new spin on it. And it's all down to how charming the characters are.
Looking back at the film, the effects have worn quite a lot, but in the context of its release time, it was an incredible achievement that delivered on Pixar's promise to open up a whole new magical world. Sure, Antz is a more complex story and more adult-oriented, but A Bug's Life has more magic, more charm and more humour to it.
It also, crucially, has a very good villain (who actually deserved his horrific death), which always goes a long way in Pixar movies.
