Every Spider-Man Movie Ranked Worst To Best

6. Spider-Man 3 (2007)

Well before Suicide Squad was ruined by a studio wanting something entirely different to its director, and just as Warner Bros shifted Tim Burton off Batman Forever to change the tone to suit their desires, Spider-Man 3 was destroyed by Too Many Cooks.

Perhaps saying it was destroyed is a little unfair, since there are many, many far worse comic book movies than this, but the trilogy ender is absolutely the worst of Raimi's trilogy, and it stands as a monument to missed opportunities.

Raimi wanted an entirely different picture, but Sony allegedly forced him to add Venom as fan-bait. Inevitably, he feels shoe-horned in, and the fatal imbalance is ultimately what unsettled the film most, leading to a crowded, hyperactive mess.

It misuses three iconic villains, it's hard to care about much of anything in the mess and you can almost smell Raimi's disinterest all over it.
