Earlier in this list, it was discussed that Marvel Studios may have waited too long for a series surrounding Rhodey, and exactly the same could be said about Vision (Paul Bettany). Unfortunately, the ship may have sailed on maximum excitement for VisionQuest.
When WandaVision opened a delayed Phase Four, it was unique, it was compelling, and it launched new directions for both Wanda and Vision. The former, of course, appeared just one year later in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, while the latter is yet to be seen since the 2021 series.
The way WandaVision ended set up a perfect story for Vision, as the original but heavily altered version of the character, dubbed White Vision, headed off into the unknown after his chat about the Ship of Theseus with the Vision that Wanda created. But that was five years ago.
Yes, it's fun that James Spader will reportedly portray a human variation of Ultron, while the addition of Iron Man's Raza (Faran Tahir), Agent Carter and Avengers: Endgame's Jarvis (James D'Arcy), and English comic Diane Morgan are intriguing ones, but this would definitely have landed higher on this list had it come sooner after WandaVision, and had Wanda's story in the Multiverse of Madness not ignored Vision completely.
