Every Upcoming MCU Project Ranked By Anticipation
9. Shang-Chi 2
One of the most well-received movies of Phase Four came with the Multiverse Saga's first lead newcomer, Shang-Chi (Simu Liu), and as such, the lack of any real news regarding a sequel has been one of the most frustrating aspects of the post-Endgame world.
The clamour for more of Shang-Chi hasn't abated, particularly with the awesome film itself, the post-credit sting that teased a heavy involvement in the future, and, of course, most recently, the confirmation that Simu Liu will reprise his role in Avengers: Doomsday.
Behind the camera, director Destin Daniel Cretton obviously impressed with his MCU debut, as he was set to direct Avengers 5 back when it was The Kang Dynasty, before moving on to make what looks to be a phenomenal entry in the Spider-Man franchise (more on this soon). When asked about Shang-Chi in a recent interview about all things Marvel, Cretton said the words fans have been dying to hear for five years.
Though still shy of an official confirmation, the director has said that a second Shang-Chi film is currently in development. After such a long span of radio silence, this is wonderful news, though any further details aren't likely to be forthcoming any time soon, as there is already plenty on the collective plates of Cretton, Liu, and Feige.
