It seems like an age has passed since we last caught a glimpse of the Guardians of the Galaxy, and whilst the Holiday Special is guaranteed to be a lot of fun, it's the long-overdue threequel that's got fans most impatient.

Taking place after Avengers: Endgame and Thor: Love and Thunder, Guardians 3 is set to be the last in James Gunn's trilogy, and will bring more insight into Rocket's backstory whilst bringing a missing Gamora fully back into the fold.

Gunn has promised big things for this film, considering it's his last hurrah with the team, and many cast members have come forward to praise his script for being so emotional a send-off, adding fuel to the fire that not all the team will still be standing at the end. Bring it on, Gunn.
