Fantastic Beasts: 10 Actors Who Could Replace Fired Johnny Depp
1. Colin Farrell
In Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, Colin Farrell played Percival Graves, the Director of Magical Security for MACUSA, and an Auror who wasted no time in taking aim at Newt Scamander.
Of course, it was during the final act that it was revealed Gellert Grindelwald had been posing as Graves, with Depp's face revealed as a tease for what was to come in the sequel. With the villain once again on the run from wizarding authorities and more notorious than ever before, it would make sense for him to change his face again, and using some of his old Polyjuice potion might make sense.
A reason for a permanent change in his appearance could be explained with a few throwaway lines of exposition and, in all honesty, Farrell was a way better baddie in the first Fantastic Beasts movie than Depp was in the sequel anyway!
This is an obvious and logical choice for Grindelwald's future, and it might just boil down to the Irish actor's availability.
