Fantastic Beasts 2: Everything You Need To Know

5. There Could Be Some Answers About The First Film

Fantastic Beasts 2

"Will we die, just a little?"

That line of gibberish was the last thing Johnny Depp's Grindelwald had to say in Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them. Perhaps, in the sequel, he'll explain what he was banging on about. One theory is that he was referring to horcruxes; perhaps, like Voldemort, he's split his soul across several vessels, with each of them keeping a "little" piece of him from death.

Another question left dangling is the matter of Dan Fogler's Jacob and his memory - when Alison Sudol's Queenie visits him at the end, does it trigger Jacob to remember his adventures? The odds that this will be addressed in part 2, with comedic consequences, are favourable. Hopefully there will be some more scrumptious baked goods on display as well. Just because.

And whatever happened to the original Percival Graves? Colin Farrell's Auror wasn't actually in the first film at all, since Grindelwald borrowed a plot point from The Goblet Of Fire and wore his image as a disguise for 99% of the movie. It remains to be seen whether the real Graves is still around, or if he'll become a recurring character like Mad-Eye Moody did.

Also, why was Newt allowed to keep his wand and work for the ministry after being kicked out of Hogwarts? Perhaps Dumbledore's appearance will shed some light on that one?
