Fantastic Beasts: Ranking Every Character From Worst To Best

As qualified already, the Shaw clan are clearly designed to be the family closest to pulling down the veil of the magical world. Sadly, it's such an undernourished plot that it feels entirely superfluous, and Shaw Sr in particular feels like a total passenger. Sure, he watches his son die and then witnesses the climax, but none of that information is ever used.

Unfortunately, the end of the film is pretty clear in saying that the rising friction between No-Majs and wizards is done thanks to the Obliviate mass spell, so the build-up of Shaw potentially becoming a leader of a group of Aware No-Majs is entirely undone.

It all makes you wonder why the hell someone as big as Jon Voight was ever cast.
