Fast & Furious Franchise: 20 Greatest Action Sequences Ranked
1. The Fate Of The Furious - The Entire Final Act
While The Fate of the Furious isn't the best film in the series (though it's definitely one of the best), it does have the greatest action sequence in Fast and Furious history. Truly, the film's final act is action movie gold.
This finale, which sees the team trying to prevent a hijacked nuclear submarine from escaping a Siberian military base - all which Deckard and Owen Shaw infiltrate Cypher's plane and rescue Dom's kidnapped son - deserves the top spot on this list for two main reasons.
Firstly, as things stand, it's a glorious and exhilarating masterpiece of action spectacle that is beautifully made and only gets more and more thrilling as it progresses.
It's also got the wonderfully satisfying scene where Dom rejoins his team and as for that scene where Deckard fights his way through bad guys while carrying Dom's son in a baby carrier? That was just beautiful.
Secondly though, it's a great showcase of what has made this franchise's action so brilliant. It's got the comedy, it's got the jaw-dropping stunts, it's got the epic stakes and importantly, it's ridiculous but toes the line enough to remain suspenseful and involving. Therefore, it's arguably the pinnacle of Fast and Furious action.
Fast and Furious 9 failed miserably to top this, but will any of the future sequels succeed in that? Well, this is Fast and Furious, so never say never.
