Flashpoint: 10 Major New Details You Need To Know About The Flash Movie
1. Shooting Begins Early Next Year
Current world events have caused chaos in Hollywood with productions put on hold and countless release dates delayed. The Flash is unique in the sense that it was recently brought forward from July 1st, 2022 to June 3rd that same year, a sign that Warner Bros. is finally getting serious about the film.
According to Variety late last year, "Production on 'The Flash' won’t be able to start until Miller finishes up work on the next 'Fantastic Beasts' film, which means that cameras are unlikely to roll until 2021."
Now, with a 2022 release date, shooting beginning next year is a given, but what's going to be interesting is seeing whether the next Fantastic Beasts movie remains a bigger priority for Warner Bros. than The Flash. Johnny Depp has been making headlines for all the wrong reasons after his legal battle with Amber Heard, while J.K. Rowling has also come under fire for her divisive opinions.
As a result, it seems likely The Flash will come first...with or without Ezra Miller, of course.
