Furious 7 Review: 15 Reasons It's The Best In The Series

1. The Ending Gives Paul Walker A Fitting, Emotional Send-Off

And finally, it's the moment every Fast and Furious fan was anxious about, the movie's send-off to Paul Walker and the Brian O'Conner character. Thankfully, it's an emotional yet relatively restrained scene in which Brian can be seen playing on the beach with his son and Mia, while Dom and the rest of the gang look on. They discuss Brian's new life and talk about his exit from the team with language which of course doubles perfectly for Walker's death, and are sure to leave a lump in the throat of many of the series' fans. Then the movie delivers a poignant montage of Walker's most iconic moments in the series before showing Dom driving along as he's met by Brian in another car. Brian jokes that Dom wasn't going to say goodbye, at which point the two exchange a friendly smile and Brian quite literally drives off into the sunset, as the screen fades to white and "For Paul" appears. Unless you hate the series or have no soul, it's pretty tough not to feel emotional at this tastefully appropriate farewell to one of the series' fallen stars. A superb job given how utterly disastrous and tone-deaf this movie could have been. Have you seen Furious 7 yet? What did you think? Shout it out in the comments!
