Ghostbusters: 11 Things That Must Happen In The Sequel

6. Better CGI

Ghostbusters Reboot 2
Columbia Pictures

Ghostbusters 2016 cost an insane $144 million, but looking at the final product, it's hard to imagine why.

Namely, the visual effects in the movie are all over the place, and even when the ghost designs in the movie's finale get imaginative, the actual quality of the CGI itself is mediocre at best.

You'd think that such a huge budget would allow for state-of-the-art visuals, but instead, it's distinctly underwhelming for such a huge movie, all the more so when the final battle is largely shrouded in a needless fog, presumably to cut post-production costs.

When the original movie has a more convincing and visually pleasing style some three decades earlier, you know somebody screwed up. A little more imagination (and cash, of course) thrown at the CGI next time, please.
